Kimi should try racing Indycars...or do Nascar again.

I can’t see him going to a lesser team unless he’s interested in driver development in his own odd way.

i’d be strangely ok with that
be interesting to see what he could do with a sauber
more interesting than watching him retire at least
probably be good for sauber too... he knows what hes doing after all

How about Haas for a year or two? This way Grosjean can go to Renault, Toro Rosso or Sauber.

I don’t think it’s likely but it isn’t impossible to see. Two things would be happening simultaneously here - 1) Kimi refused an offer to be a reserve driver. 2) Ferrari are signing LeClerc to the top tier race seat while reserving the right to swap him with a saub er driver.
The way I see it, they toss Kimi into a sauber for the first year while LeClerc gets to jump in the big boy seat but can go back to sauber if the pressure is too much. Kimi can drive the Ferrari just fine. LeClerc can handle the sauber. Worst case scenario for 2019 is the first few races see sauber with some kimi-boosted results and Ferrari loses a few points before going back to what works.
